  • It Doesn't Work!

Multiple causes may prevent K-Secure VPN from working properly. The following is a list of common problems.

    1. Anti-Virus software such as Avast! and Trend Micro Internet Security will cause K-Secure VPN to malfunction; they may cause BSOD (blue screen of death) as well. Uninstalling these AV software is typically the only thing you need to do to solve the problem.
It is reported AVG Anti-Virus works fine with K-Secure VPN.
    2. Virtualization software such as Virtuozzo VE virtual bus driver from Parallels Inc will block kernel-mode drivers from running in a VPS (virtual private server). If you try to run K-Secure VPN inside a VPS, chances are it will not work properly.
    3. You may have an infected computer. Virus and spyware are commonplace these days and they cause all sorts of weird problems. If you are interested in knowing what are running on your machine, check out Process Explorer from Microsoft.
    4. Improperly configured firewall or router may prevent incoming connections from reaching your K-Secure VPN Server running behind it. Please go through our Quick Start Tutorial if you have not had a chance to do so.

We appreciate hearing from you any issue you may find in our software. When it really doesn't work after all of your due diligence, send the detailed problem description and reproduction steps to info@k-secure.com and we'll be more than happy to help.
