Users

A user in the system is identified by the username and can optionally be assigned a password. Information associated with a user is used to generate a configuration file that can be exported from the server and imported into the client computer.

Each row in the list represents a user in the VPN; it contains the following fields:
  • ID: the ID of the user assigned by the system when the user is created; ID is read-only and cannot be modified;
  • Group: ID of the group to which this user belongs;
  • Username: User name by which the user is identified;
  • Key: Connection key assigned to the user;
  • Password: Password set for the user (optional);
Mini-buttons:
  • Grid Lines - show or hide the grid lines in the list;
  • Refresh - refresh the list;
  • Duplicate - create a new user based on the selected one (in Advanced User Editor);
  • Move Up - move the selected user one line up;
  • Move Down - move the selected user one line down;
  • Swap - exchange the positions of selected users;
  • Renumber - reassign IDs to all users;
Operations:
  • Click Create to launch the Create User Wizard;
  • Click Modify to launch the Modify User Wizard;
  • Click Delete to delete selected users;
  • Click Export to create a configuration file for the user;
  • Hold down the ALT key and click a field to directly edit the value;
  • Right click a user and choose Advanced User Editor to edit the values directly (for advanced users only);
